Spicy Green Tahini Sauce

Spicy green tahini sauce, creamy, herby with a hint of spice this sauce will become a new staple in the kitchen. Declious with anything from bowls, steak, to eggs the possibilities are endless.

Tahini is hands down the ingredient I use most in the kitchen. Not just for it nutrient profile but the depth of flavor and creaminess it brings to dishes.

What is Tahini ?

Tahini is a paste made from finely grinding sesame seeds until it creates a buttery, smooth, vegan paste used in both sweet and savory dishes. Tahini is rich in many nutrients, including protein, fiber, copper, selenium, and phosphorus. A staple in middle eastern and mediterranean cooking.

For this sauce all you need are a few ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen.

  • tahini
  • lemon
  • herbs – mix as many as you want ( dont forget herbs have so many nutrients )
  • salt
  • Aleppo pepper
  • garlic
  • jalapeño

The key to make the sauce super creamy is the cold water. So make sure you use chilled water it will also help then sauce and herbs from browning. I love using this sauce with grain bowls , fries , chicken and salmon honestly anything.

Lasts in the fridge for a week! Happy cooking xoxo
